Job summary

The National Competition Council, part of the ACCC, seeks an APS6 Policy Advisor to support policy analysis, assessments and reviews. Working under the direction of an EL1, the role undertakes policy analysis, research and report preparation while managing discrete work packages.

Qualifications

• Policy analysis and briefing experience.
• Ability to manage multiple work packages.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of National Competition Policy assessments.
• Analyse jurisdiction evidence against reform commitments.
• Prepare briefing papers, assessment reports and Council papers.
• Undertake research and policy analysis for Treasurer-requested reviews.
• Contribute to development of assessment methodologies and guidance.
• Prepare ministerial briefs and policy advice.
