Qualifications

• Experience conducting complex policy analysis and advising on economic, legal and regulatory issues.
• Experience preparing ministerial briefs, Cabinet submissions, and consultation materials.
• Experience managing legislative and regulatory reform projects.
• Ability to analyse data and market developments to inform policy.
• Ability to build relationships with regulators, industry and consumer groups.

• Prepare high-quality ministerial briefs, Cabinet submissions, correspondence and consultation materials.
• Manage significant components of legislative and regulatory reform projects from design through to implementation.

• Build and maintain productive relationships with regulators, industry, consumer groups and other government agencies.
• Coordinate work across stakeholders to support the delivery of government priorities and reform outcomes.
• Support and mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.

APS6 officers play an important role in shaping government decisions, managing complex work, and providing high-quality advice on issues of national significance.

This is an opportunity to work closely with ministers, regulators, industry and consumer groups to deliver reforms that strengthen Australia's economy and financial system. Successful candidates will have opportunities to manage significant policy and reform projects, contribute to legislation and regulatory initiatives, and influence decisions through exposure to senior leaders across government and regulatory agencies.
