Job summary

Randwick City Council is seeking a Systems Librarian to administer and maintain the Polaris Library Management System and related technologies. You will coordinate library tech operations, including RFID, print and room booking systems, to ensure reliable access to collections and services.

You will collect and analyse system usage, prepare reports, and support collection management and service planning with insights from data.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience administering and supporting a Library Management System (LMS) and associated library technologies.
• Experience coordinating technology projects and system enhancements, including planning, testing, implementation and upgrades.
• Eligible for ALIA membership or equivalent qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and enhance Polaris LMS and integrations, ensuring reliability and alignment with requirements.
• Coordinate operation and improvement of library technology systems and customer-facing technologies (RFID, print, payment, room booking).
• Collect, analyse and report on performance and usage of library systems to support collection management and service planning.
