Job summary

Rural Northwest Health in Victoria is seeking a qualified Podiatrist to join our Allied Health team in Warracknabeal. You will deliver evidence-based podiatry across community, acute and aged care settings, managing foot care, diabetes, wound care, and mobility support.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to improve mobility and wellbeing, with opportunities for professional development, relocation assistance and ADO entitlements for full-time staff.

Qualifications

  • Recognised podiatry qualification and AHPRA registration.
  • Experience with diabetes and high-risk foot care preferred.
  • Experience in public health, hospital or multidisciplinary settings is welcomed.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and rural service delivery.
  • Willingness to relocate and work in a rural regional setting.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based podiatry care across community, acute and aged care settings.
  • Manage a diverse caseload: general podiatry, diabetes and high-risk foot care, wounds, MSK, nails and skin, footwear and orthotics, and mobility and falls support.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve mobility, health and wellbeing.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Podiatrist to join our supportive Allied Health team in Warracknabeal. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build clinical experience while delivering evidence-based podiatry care across community, acute and aged care settings. You will work with clients of all ages and manage a diverse caseload, including general podiatry, diabetes and highrisk foot care, wound management, musculoskeletal conditions, nail and skin care, footwear and orthotic advice, and mobility and falls prevention support.

Working within a rural public health service, you will have the opportunity to expand your clinical skills, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and make a meaningful impact on the health, mobility and wellbeing of individuals and the broader community. The successful candidate will have:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Podiatry and current registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills in podiatry assessment, treatment and management, with the ability to work across a diverse range of foot and lower-limb presentations.
  • Experience working within a public health, hospital, community or multidisciplinary setting is highly regarded, although applications from candidates with experience in other relevant settings are encouraged.
  • An understanding of person-centred care and the role of Podiatry within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Experience or an interest in areas such as general podiatry, diabetes and high-risk foot care, wound management, musculoskeletal conditions, nail and skin care, footwear and orthotic advice, mobility and falls prevention.
  • A willingness to embrace the opportunities and challenges of rural and regional healthcare, with a flexible and collaborative approach to service delivery.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check or willingness to obtain
