Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking a Podiatrist Grade 2 to join our community-based, multidisciplinary allied health team in Victoria. You will provide client-centred podiatry services, contribute to KPIs, and work across diverse backgrounds to improve health independence.

The role emphasises evidence-based care, independent caseload management, supervision of junior staff, and ongoing professional development within a supportive workplace that offers five weeks leave and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Podiatry Registration Board of Australia.
• At least 2 years' experience in a community setting, with ability to practice independently.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with others; delivering culturally safe and inclusive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, multidisciplinary consumer care, including assessment, care planning, treatment, review, and measuring outcomes.
• Independently manage a day-to-day clinical caseload, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional collaboration, contributing to committees and service development.
• Support ongoing learning and development, including supervision of junior staff, quality improvement, and CPD requirements.

About the role

In this role you will contribute to and be part of the community - based, multidisciplinary area health team to support clients and carers to achieve an optimum level of health independence through:

• Comprehensive, co-ordinated and integrated multidisciplinary services,
• Provision of client - centred care to community members from a broad range of backgrounds.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, cost effective community-based Podiatry service.
• Contribute to meeting the program and area health team key performance indicators (KPIs).

All activities of the position will reflect current best practice standards for Podiatry. The position will operate according to relevant legislation, Barwon Health policies, programs and department guidelines.

Keyresponsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, multidisciplinary consumer care, including assessment, care planning, treatment, review, and measuring outcomes.
• Independently manage a day-to-day clinical caseload, ensuring all work is completed accurately, on time, and in line with Barwon Health policies and consumer care standards.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional collaboration, contributing to committees, service development, clinical policies, and working effectively with stakeholders.
• Support ongoing learning and development, including supervision of junior staff/students, participation in quality improvement, research activities, and maintaining professional registration and CPD requirements.

Whatwe'relooking for

• Current registration with the Podiatry Registration Board of Australia.
• At least 2 years' experience in a community setting, with the ability to practice independently and manage clinical responsibilities.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, including building strong working relationships and collaborating with other health professionals.
