Job summary

Safran Electronics & Defense Australasia Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks a PNT Engineer to design, integrate, and verify resilient PNT solutions for complex systems in challenging environments, collaborating with software, hardware, and systems teams. You will work across GNSS, INS, IMUs, timing, sensor fusion, and nav software, and contribute to proposal phases with technical input.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, systems engineering experience, and hands-on testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with aerospace/electrical/mechatronics focus.
• Experience in systems engineering (requirements, architecture, IV&V).
• Hands-on GNSS, INS, IMU, sensor fusion, and testing.
• Familiarity with defence acquisition frameworks (ASDEFCON) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end PNT system architectures integrating GNSS, INS, IMUs and sensors.
• Develop and maintain PNT documentation and interfaces.
• Develop simulations to characterize PNT performance and robustness.
• Support trials, demonstrations and customer engagements.
