Job summary

Transport for NSW is recruiting an experienced Project Governance Officer to join a fast-paced PMO in Macquarie Park. You will provide governance, reporting and administrative support across a diverse portfolio of major NSW initiatives.

The role emphasises high-quality documentation for executive audiences, multiple governance forums, and robust portfolio reporting using Microsoft 365 tools. A strong PMO background and related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting PMO, project governance or program delivery functions within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality documentation for executive audiences.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, coordination and organisational skills.
• Relevant qualifications in project management, business administration or a related discipline, together with project management training/certification such as PRINCE2, PMI, AIPM or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Steering Committees and governance forums across multiple portfolios.
• Prepare agendas, minutes, action logs, decision registers and governance packs.
• Track governance actions and decisions, ensuring timely closure and audit readiness.
• Support portfolio reporting and dashboard preparation, including schedule, cost and risk reporting.
• Maintain governance repositories, SharePoint sites and project records.
• Monitor compliance with governance frameworks and elevate risks or issues as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO function.
