Job summary

MFE in Queensland is seeking an experienced Plumbing Utilities Supervisor to lead our Chinchilla operations. This key leadership role oversees day-to-day site activities, supports and develops the plumbing team, and ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You’ll supervise plumbing works across projects and maintenance, plan resources, and provide technical guidance while maintaining HSE compliance.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified plumber with current QLD licence.
• Experience in leading hand or supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of commercial/industrial plumbing desirable.
• QBCC Nominee Licence advantageous.
• Confident communicator with strong leadership capability.
• Current driver’s licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate plumbing works across projects and maintenance activities.
• Lead a team of plumbers and trades assistants, driving productivity and quality outcomes.
• Plan and allocate resources, materials and labour effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulations and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to team members.
• Liaise with internal supervisors and project teams for smooth delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain high HSE standards.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently.

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role

• Trade-qualified plumber with current QLD licence (Cert IV highly regarded/advantageous)


• Proven experience in a leading hand or supervisory role (or ready to step up)


• Strong knowledge of commercial / industrial plumbing (desirable)


• QBCC Nominee Licence (highly regarded / advantageous)


• Confident communicator with solid leadership capability


• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities


• Strong commitment to safety and team culture


• Current driver’s licence and White Card.
