Job summary

MFE is seeking a qualified Pipe Welder to join its fabrication team in Toowoomba on a full-time, permanent 5/2 roster. You will interpret drawings, perform welding to piping and structural standards, and ensure quality, safety and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Boilermaking (minimum requirement).
• Proven experience welding to piping and structural standards.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques (GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, GMAW).
• Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
• Experience working within quality assurance and testing environments.
• Strong safety mindset with experience in permits, JSEAs and procedure.
• Forklift license (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform fabrication and welding activities to required standards.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Follow LEAN and 5S principles to maintain an efficient and organised workspace.
• Complete relevant documentation, permits, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate effectively within a team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
