Job summary

DJB Plumbing & Gas is seeking an experienced Plumbing Supervisor to join our Ballarat-based team. You will lead and support our plumbers and apprentices, ensuring high-quality workmanship and strong customer relationships.

Reporting to the business owner, you’ll oversee scheduling, quotes and job management, while promoting safety and professional development within the team. This leadership role offers lasting career opportunities with a locally owned, reputable company.

Qualifications

• Relevant plumbing qualifications and Victorian registration/licensing.
• Strong technical knowledge across maintenance and commercial plumbing.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions.
• A commitment to quality workmanship, safety and customer service.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to lead by example.
• A current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and coordinate our team of qualified plumbers and apprentices, promoting a positive and productive working environment.
• Assist with daily scheduling, job allocation and workflow management to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
• Oversee workmanship, ensuring all work meets our high standards, relevant regulations and customer expectations.
• Mentor, train and support apprentices, helping them develop their technical skills and professional confidence.
• Assist with site assessments, preparing quotes, planning works and coordinating larger or more complex projects.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, property managers and commercial clients, representing DJB Plumbing & Gas professionally.
• Provide technical guidance, resolve on-site challenges and support the team in delivering practical, high-quality solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, teamwork and service delivery across the business.

Plumbing Supervisor – DJB Plumbing & Gas

About the Role

DJB Plumbing & Gas is seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Supervisor to join our established Ballarat-based team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified plumber ready to take on a key leadership position within a growing, locally owned business.

Working closely with the business owner and administration team, you'll play an important role in overseeing daily operations, supporting our plumbers and apprentices, maintaining high standards of workmanship and building strong relationships with our valued customers.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example and is confident taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, support and coordinate our team of qualified plumbers and apprentices, promoting a positive and productive working environment.

About You

• Relevant plumbing qualifications and Victorian plumbing registration/licensing.

• Strong technical knowledge and experience across maintenance and commercial plumbing.

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience, or the confidence and ability to step into a leadership role.

• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
