Job summary

John R Keith (NSW) Pty Ltd in Sydney, NSW is seeking enthusiastic Plumbing Apprentices for a full-time role. You will work with experienced plumbers, gain hands-on experience, and develop the skills needed to become a qualified tradesperson.

No prior plumbing experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, with focus on safety and practical learning. You will undertake residential, commercial and industrial projects, learning pipe fitting, installation and repair while maintaining

Qualifications

• Year 12 (or equivalent) is the minimum requirement.
• White Card (Construction Induction Card) is preferred.
• A valid Australian driver's licence is preferred, as some roles require travel to job sites.
• No prior plumbing experience is required – training will be provided.
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated to learn the plumbing trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified plumbers on residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Learn and practice pipe fitting, installation and repair techniques.
• Prepare work areas and gather tools and materials under supervision.
• Follow health and safety protocols and maintain workplace compliance.
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues and understand diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed.
• Develop knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations and best practices.
• Assist with water supply, drainage, and heating installations.
• Support the team to ensure projects are completed on time and to high standards.

John R Keith (NSW) Pty Ltd is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Plumbing Apprentices to join our team in Sydney NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to launch your career in the plumbing trade. As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced plumbers, gaining hands‑on experience whilst developing the technical skills and knowledge required to become a qualified tradesperson. This role is essential to our business as it ensures we maintain a pipeline of skilled professionals to meet the growing demand for quality plumbing services across Sydney.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting qualified plumbers on residential, commercial and industrial plumbing projects
• Learning and practising fundamental plumbing techniques including pipe fitting, installation and repair
• Preparing work areas and gathering required tools and materials under supervision
• Following health and safety protocols and maintaining compliance with workplace standards
• Troubleshooting plumbing issues and understanding diagnostic procedures
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of work completed
• Developing knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations and best practices
• Assisting with water supply systems, drainage systems, and heating installations
• Supporting the team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards

What we're looking for
