Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council in Perth is seeking a Peripatetic Play Assistant based at Perth Grammar School.

You will support children with arts and crafts, storytelling, and outdoor play, working 18 hours per week in term-time and 36 hours during school holidays.

No entry qualifications are required, but you will be supported to gain a recognised childcare qualification and must register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months.

Qualifications

• No entry qualifications are required, however you will be supported to work towards a recognised qualification listed by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• You will be registered with the SSSC for Day Care of Children within 3 months of starting, and maintain annual membership.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing high-quality care and a range of stimulating activities (arts, crafts, storytelling, physical play, trips).
• Work as part of the Kids Club Team and wider School Team to support children's learning and development in a safe, inclusive environment outside school hours.
• Support 18 hours per week term-time and 36 hours per week during school holidays at Perth Grammar School.
