Job summary

Traild is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineering leader to set the direction for cloud infrastructure and developer platforms across the product suite. You will lead a small team, own GCP-based reliability, costs, and tooling, while staying connected to code and engineering execution.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership, growing engineers, and shaping platform as a product, with an emphasis on scalable, observable infrastructure and strong collaboration with executives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small engineering team while staying hands-on.
• Deep production-scale cloud infrastructure experience on GCP or AWS.
• Strong IaC, CI/CD, and observability practices.
• Ability to set platform direction and align with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define platform strategy and roadmap for Traild's cloud platform.
• Own reliability, performance, and cost of the GCP footprint.
• Improve developer experience with CI/CD, tooling, and observability.
• Mentor and grow a team of engineers.
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews.
• Ensure operational health and incident response.
