Job summary

Profusion Group are supporting a banking organization to expand their platform engineering team. This is a permanent role with hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week in office).

You will design and maintain cloud infrastructure, automate platform operations, and empower development teams to deliver with confidence. As Platform Engineer you will build cloud-native services on GCP, manage Kubernetes (GKE), drive CI/CD with GitHub Actions or GitLab, implement observability, reliability, and

Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Strong Kubernetes administration, ideally GKE.
• Automation-first mindset with self-service capabilities.
• CI/CD and release engineering experience.
• Site reliability, observability, and incident response skills.
• Knowledge of APIs, messaging, service meshes, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience migrating and modernizing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain cloud-native platform services.
• Develop automation to provision, configure, and manage environments.
• Enhance deployment processes with scalable CI/CD practices.
• Establish and continuously improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and support capabilities.
• Drive platform reliability initiatives and incident management improvements.
• Build tooling and automation to support migrations and modernization.
• Integrate platform services for resilient architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve developer experience and velocity.
• Champion infrastructure-as-code and engineering best practices.
