Job summary

Showtime Consulting Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Platform / DevOps Engineer to join a large-scale environment. The role focuses on building and enhancing modern platform capabilities with emphasis on CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes and automation.

You will collaborate with development teams to streamline software delivery, create reusable platform components, establish GitOps workflows, and ensure platforms are scalable, secure and highly available.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or similar.
• Hands‑on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or CircleCI.
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Scripting in Python, Bash or Ruby.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and ArgoCD.
• Experience with Helm-based deployments and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment.
• Develop reusable platform capabilities and standardised delivery patterns for engineering teams.
• Create service templates, CI/CD components, Kubernetes baselines and observability packages.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Build and maintain containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop Helm deployments and GitOps workflows with ArgoCD.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues; support on-call rotations.
