Job summary

Akuna Capital is seeking a Platform Engineer to own cloud solutions, automation, and production systems. You will work with Trading, Development, Infrastructure, and Operations to design scalable, secure infrastructure across hybrid-cloud environments.

The role requires deep Kubernetes expertise (EKS), strong IaC skills with Terraform, and experience in CI/CD pipelines. You will help drive cloud governance, security, and observability across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or similar infra roles.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
• Deep Kubernetes production experience including EKS and on-premise.
• Strong AWS cloud design with some GCP experience.
• Terraform and IaC proficiency with modular design.
• Experience building scalable, secure cloud-native platforms.
• Observability, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting knowledge.
• CI/CD pipeline design and modern delivery practices.
• Proficient in Python, Bash or similar scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Own and shape infrastructure, cloud solutions, and automation projects.
• Collaborate with Trading, Development, Infrastructure, and Ops teams.
• Design and implement cloud governance and security measures.
• Monitor hybrid-cloud environments and optimize performance.
• Provision, configure, upgrade, and monitor Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, and databases.
• Automate infrastructure management and CI/CD pipelines with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab.
• Evaluate proposed architectures and provide actionable recommendations.
• Maintain reliable production systems with a focus on scalability.
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers.
