Job summary

LGT Group is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Platform Team in Melbourne on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will design, build and maintain platform products, internal tools and shared services while developing frontend experiences and backend services.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, cloud and security professionals to deliver secure, scalable solutions and improve developer experience with reusable components and CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• Commercial software engineering experience across frontend and backend development.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining software solutions.
• Knowledge of APIs, integrations, reusable components and maintainable solution design.
• A commitment to secure coding, automated testing, code quality and operational stability.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• A relevant bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent practical software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and maintain platform products and internal tools.
• Develop frontend experiences, dashboards and self-service workflows.
• Create backend services, APIs and automations.
• Improve developer experience with reusable components and CI/CD tooling.
• Strengthen reliability through monitoring, testing and production support.
