Job summary

Orro Group is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer, Platform to operate and secure Linux platforms behind customer services. You will work across hundreds of Linux servers, focusing on automation rather than manual toil, with senior engineers guiding your growth in security engineering and platform work.

Qualifications

• Around 1–3 years in Linux or systems administration or similar role.
• Experience with cyber security platforms such as logging, monitoring, or SIEM is a plus.
• Foundational Ansible experience across YAML, inventories, playbooks and roles; comfortable with Git for changes.
• Basic networking knowledge; able to troubleshoot DNS, ports, routes, firewalls and VPNs.
• Strong customer-facing communication and ability to provide clear updates.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Linux servers across a distributed fleet; manage access, services, storage and patching.
• Monitor platform health; investigate issues using logs and system tools.
• Improve Ansible playbooks, roles and inventories to automate tasks.
• Diagnose connectivity and network issues across TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls and VPNs.
• Assist with deployment, configuration and lifecycle management of cyber security platforms and underlying infrastructure.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams; document changes and asset records.
