Job summary

Orro is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer, Platform to operate and secure the Linux platforms behind our customer services. You will work across hundreds of Linux servers with automation focus, supported by senior engineers to grow your security and platform skills.

This role offers on the job training towards Ansible, infrastructure automation, security engineering and platform architecture while collaborating with customers and internal teams to keep systems reliable and well documented.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in Linux or systems administration with exposure to cyber security platforms.
• Practical Linux administration across the command line, users, permissions, packages and patching.
• Foundational Ansible experience with YAML inventories, playbooks and roles; Git usage.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Linux servers across a large distributed fleet, including access, services, storage and patching.
• Monitor platform health and investigate issues using logs and standard tools.
• Build and improve Ansible playbooks, roles and inventories for automated configuration and repeatable work.
• Diagnose connectivity across TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls and VPNs.
• Support deployment and lifecycle management of cyber security platforms and infrastructure, including hardening and remediation.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams, keeping documentation and asset records current.
