Job summary

Multisteps Industries in Queensland North is seeking Machine Operators for a new Narangba-based factory. You will report to the Production Manager and program production machinery, inspect, calibrate and regulate equipment, and perform routine quality checks to ensure product specifications.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing and adjusting machines, coordinating production workflows, maintaining records, and minimising downtime.

Qualifications

• Experienced Machine Setter.
• Mechanical aptitude, solve problems and machine troubleshooting.
• Ability to handle high-pressure environment and can work as part of a team and with little supervision.
• Understanding of and commitment to safe work techniques and practices.
• A good understanding of HACCP and Food Safety requirements.
• Hold a Fork Lift license.
• Display a strong commitment to safety.
• Be self-motivated.
• Have a willingness to learn all aspects of the job.

Responsibilities

• Programs production machinery, using knowledge of polymers, additives and other materials.
• Inspects, calibrates and regulates machines, and conducts ongoing basic quality control tests.
• Troubleshoots, repairs and adjusts machines which manufacture plastic products.
• Prepares production and maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
• Recommends technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality or performance.
• Completes routine quality checks on the product, such as dimensional checks, hardness, clarity of colour and appearances.
• Coordinates production and workflow processes, and keeps records of operational or production data.
• Consistently ensure all OH&S and housekeeping procedures are completed.
• Monitor waste and attempt to keep under allowable limits.
