Job summary

Australia External Cladding Pty Ltd in Shepparton, Victoria, is seeking an experienced plasterer to join our team on residential and commercial projects, handling plastering, rendering and finishing on internal and external walls and façades.

You will read plans, mix materials, apply base and finishing coats, install plasterboard where required, and work alongside carpenters, painters and other trades, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Plastering or equivalent.
• Experience in residential and/or commercial plastering and rendering.
• Experience with external rendering, façade or cladding projects.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.

Australia External Cladding Pty Ltd is a building services company specialising in external cladding, plastering, rendering, Hebel installation and related building and façade services. We undertake residential and commercial construction projects and provide professional supply and installation services across Victoria.

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliablePlasterer to join our team in Shepparton, Victoria.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out plastering, rendering and finishing work on residential and commercial construction projects, including internal and external wall surfaces and façade systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare walls, ceilings and external surfaces for plastering and finishing.
• Apply plaster, render, cement-based products and other finishing materials to building surfaces.
• Install and finish plasterboard and related wall and ceiling systems where required.
• Carry out external rendering and finishing work to residential and commercial buildings.
• Prepare and apply base coats, render coats and finishing coats.
• Measure, mix and apply plastering and rendering materials in accordance with project requirements.
• Repair cracks, holes, damaged surfaces and other imperfections before finishing.
• Smooth and level surfaces to achieve the required finish and texture.
• Work with external cladding, Hebel and façade systems as required.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools and plastering equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed work and rectify defects to ensure a high-quality finish.
• Coordinate with carpenters, builders, painters and other trades on construction sites.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements and site-specific procedures.
• Perform other reasonable plastering and finishing duties as required.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant trade qualification in Plastering or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in residential and/or commercial plastering and rendering.
• Experience with external rendering, façade or cladding projects will be highly regarded.
• Good knowledge of plastering, rendering and surface preparation techniques.
• Ability to achieve smooth, level and consistent finishes.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Competent use of hand tools, power tools and plastering equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Current driver's licence is desirable.
