Job summary

Vulcan is seeking a hands-on Metals handling assistant in Western Australia. You will load/unload, perform plasma cutting and operate CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment.

You will follow quality procedures and carry out checks while working to tight schedules and reporting equipment faults. Minimum requirements include a forklift license and experience in steel handling, with a focus on safety and on-site teamwork.

Qualifications

• Loading and unloading with potential heavy lifting.
• Experience in a steel handling environment is preferred.
• Practical knowledge of CNC laser/plasma machinery is desired.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials; heavy lifting as required.
• Perform plasma cutting within a manufacturing setting.
• Follow quality procedures and carry out quality checks.
• Maintain schedules to meet customer commitments.
• Check and report any equipment faults.
