ARTC, Australia’s national rail network owner, is seeking a Plant Services Engineer to provide engineering and technical support across plant and equipment fleet. You will work with operational teams, travel monthly to metropolitan, regional and remote sites, and help ensure safety, reliability and performance. Bring mechanical engineering experience and a practical, solutions-focused mindset to influence asset lifecycle and compliance.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience with plant, machinery, rolling stock or heavy assets.
Structured, analytical troubleshooting and problem solving.
Strong attention to detail and management of engineering records.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements for plant equipment.
Experience reviewing engineering designs, calculations or modifications.
Responsibilities
Provide engineering oversight and configuration management for plant and equipment.
Identify and evaluate new machinery and equipment solutions to improve safety and efficiency.
Develop and improve plant engineering processes, standards, and documentation.
Coordinate performance testing, commissioning and network interface testing.
Review engineering reports and drawings from concept to service.
Develop engineered solutions through change management processes.
Maintain accurate engineering, testing, inspection and compliance records.
Support broader projects and continuous improvement across plant and operations.
