Job summary

Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a motivated Plant Operator Reticulation Maintenance to join the Condobolin Water & Sewer Team. This full-time role covers operation, maintenance, repair and installation of water and sewer reticulation, pumping stations and reservoirs.

The successful candidate will hold a Medium Rigid Licence (or be willing to obtain), have customer service and teamwork skills, and be committed to safety and quality service for the community.

Qualifications

• Medium Rigid Licence (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous related experience or willingness to learn.
• White Card (Construction Induction) required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Confined Space Certificate and Asbestos Awareness Training (or willing to undertake training).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team while showing initiative and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water and sewerage reticulation systems.
• Assist with installation, maintenance and repair of pumping stations and reservoirs.
• Perform labouring duties as required.
• Work to Council's health and safety standards.

Job description

Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a motivated and professional Plant Operator Reticulation Maintenance to join our Condobolin Water & Sewer Team!

This full-time position's primary function is to perform a variety of duties from labouring to plant operation, typically related to the operation, maintenance, repair and installation of water and sewerage reticulation, pumping stations and reservoirs.

About You

• Medium Rigid Licence (or willing to obtain)
• Previous work related experience (or the willingness to learn)

What We Offer

Salary and Conditions

• Salary range: $2,315.14 to $2,488.78 per fortnight
• Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
• Position classified at Grade 5 within Council's Salary Structure.
• Employment conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
