Job summary

The Shire of Glenelg invites applications for two full-time Plant Operators based at the Casterton depot to undertake civil construction and road maintenance across the Shire.

You will operate a range of medium to heavy plant with focus on safety, teamwork, and efficiency, including manual labour tasks and adherence to council standards. These roles offer a 9-day fortnight to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in safe operation of construction plant and equipment.
• Clear understanding of road construction and maintenance techniques.
• Ability to work in a team and also independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of medium to heavy plant for civil construction and infrastructure maintenance.
• Undertake tasks related to roads, drainage, bridges and general maintenance.
• Maintain safety and efficiency in all plant operations and manual duties as required.
