Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking an experienced Teacher of Plant Mechanics to deliver hands-on, practical training at the Wetherill Park campus on a permanent full-time basis. You will guide students, provide industry-relevant instruction, and foster employability through high-quality teaching in a diverse learner cohort.

The role requires a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent), plus a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience

Qualifications

• Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Certificate III in either Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification.
• Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
• Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
• Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
