Job summary

Mineral Resources Ltd in Perth is seeking a practical Plant Mechanical Engineer to provide technical support across mobile equipment and asset-management operations. You will report to the Manager Engineering and contribute to continuous improvement and safety compliance in design, operation and maintenance of mobile plant.

The role is a Monday–Friday on-site position at Osborne Park head office, with opportunities to influence equipment performance, costs and safety through cross-functional

Qualifications

• A Mechanical Engineering degree is required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in asset maintenance or mobile equipment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and project delivery.
• Solid knowledge of Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, reporting and risk-assessment skills.
• Good communication and ability to collaborate across technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on mobile equipment, workshops and asset-management processes.
• Lead engineering projects from planning through delivery and close-out.
• Conduct engineering assessments including equipment design and plant optimisation.
• Analyse equipment performance to identify savings and improvements.
• Review maintenance strategies to optimise safety, availability and lifecycle value.
• Support planning, scheduling, reliability, budgets and workshop execution.
• Ensure activities meet MinRes requirements and industry standards.
• Promote risk assessment and change-management across equipment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn data into practical outcomes.
