Job summary

DRA Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze and optimise mechanical systems for mineral processing and materials handling projects. You will contribute to detailed design activity, provide practical engineering solutions and help ensure safety, quality and performance across projects in Western Australia.

You’ll work within a collaborative team, prepare precise documentation, and interact with clients and suppliers to resolve technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering and relevant professional exposure.
• Around 3+ years in detailed design EPC/EPCM environments, Mining focus preferred.
• Experience with bulk material handling equipment is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed mechanical design solutions for mineral processing and materials handling equipment (conveyors, crushers, mills, pumps).
• Prepare engineering documentation: calculations, specifications, drawings and reports.
• Apply engineering analysis to develop safe, reliable, cost‑effective solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept to execution to support project delivery.
• Engage with clients, vendors and stakeholders to provide technical expertise and resolve challenges.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments to improve outcomes.
• Ensure work complies with standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain professional development and industry certifications.
