Job summary

We seek experienced Plant Mechanics to support operations across Moranbah and other sites, ensuring reliability of our mining fleet and safe operation. You will perform scheduled servicing, breakdown repairs, and field support on CAT and Hitachi equipment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent.
• Post-trade experience working in a mining field service or heavy earthmoving maintenance environment.
• Proven experience carrying out breakdown repairs, fault finding and preventative maintenance on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Demonstrated experience with Liebherr, Hitachi and Cat large earthmoving equipment.
• Ability to work autonomously across multiple sites while maintaining safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs on CAT and Hitachi mobile mining equipment across multiple mine sites.
• Complete machine inspections and condition assessments.
• Provide responsive field support to site operations, ensuring equipment reliability and safe operation.

Job description

Mineco is a leading national civil and mining services company operating across the East Coast of Australia. We deliver comprehensive solutions to Tier 1 clients, including bulk dozer push, coal quality and recovery, crushing, civil works, and rehabilitation services. With our Head Office in Beresfield, NSW, a fully equipped workshop in Muswellbrook, NSW, and an additional office in Queensland, we maintain a strong presence across all major sites in the Hunter region while expanding into the QLD market.

Due to the commencement of two new projects in Moranbah, we are currently seeking experienced Plant Mechanics to support operations across both sites, ensuring the reliability and performance of our mining fleet.

About the Role

• 7:7 Rotating Roster | FIFO & DIDO options
• Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs on a fleet of CAT and Hitachi mobile mining equipment across multiple mine sites
• Complete machine inspections and condition assessments
• Provide responsive field support to site operations, ensuring equipment reliability, availability, and safe operation

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
• Post-trade experience working in a mining field service or heavy earthmoving maintenance environment
• Proven experience carrying out breakdown repairs, fault finding, servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy mobile mining equipment
