Job summary

Northern Grampians Shire Council is seeking a Plant Mechanic to service, maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment in Stawell, Victoria. You will diagnose faults, plan preventative maintenance, keep accurate records and support operators with inspections while working in a small team of three.

The role offers an attractive salary ($75,912.91–$80,756.81 p.a. including allowances), 12% super, an RDO a fortnight, uniform and boots, plus paid leave and development

Qualifications

• Qualified, safety-focused mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• Heavy vehicle, plant or fleet experience is an advantage.
• Open to 3rd/4th year apprentices for the role.

• Service, maintain and repair a variety of vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and plan preventative maintenance.
• Keep accurate records and support operators with inspections and fault reporting.
