Job summary

WesTrac Canberra is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join a high‑calibre team. You will take ownership of machine overhauls, diagnostics, repairs and component rebuilds in our workshop, ensuring every CAT machine is safe, reliable and ready for peak performance.

You will strip, assess and rebuild CAT machines to OEM standards, perform diagnostics and QA checks, and work with Supervisors to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Australian‑recognised mechanical trade required.
• Field Service experience highly regarded.

• Strip, assess, rebuild and reassemble CAT machines and major components to OEM standards.
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics and quality assurance checks throughout the rebuild process.
• Complete workshop maintenance, repairs and rebuild activities in line with production schedules and customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workshop environment while working collaboratively with Supervisors and peers.
