Job summary

Minerva Foods Australia is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a skilled maintenance team, driving preventative maintenance programs, asset reliability, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives in a large food manufacturing environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring plant uptime, safety compliance, cost control, and operational performance across site operations with production collaboration to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance leadership position.
• Strong background within manufacturing, food processing, meat processing, FMCG, or industrial environments.
• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing preventative maintenance systems and asset management programs.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and capital projects.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site's maintenance team, including trades, contractors, and support personnel.
• Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure plant and equipment reliability to maximise operational efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Manage maintenance budgets and drive cost-effective maintenance solutions.
• Oversee capital expenditure projects from planning through to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with production and operational teams to achieve site performance targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, and asset life.
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers.
• Develop maintenance strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and asset management systems.
