Job summary

Pharma People seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of the maintenance function within a busy manufacturing environment in Victoria. You will lead site-wide maintenance strategy to keep plant, machinery, buildings and essential services safe, reliable and performing at peak levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or senior technical leadership role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of industrial production equipment, plant and facility services.
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems and CMMS.
• Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance budgets, contractors, suppliers and capital works.
• Strong understanding of OH&S, quality systems, risk management and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site’s planned and reactive maintenance activities across production equipment, plant, machinery and facilities.
• Develop and continually improve preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
• Diagnose and coordinate the resolution of mechanical, electrical and technical breakdowns, responding quickly to minimise production interruptions.
• Manage maintenance schedules, shutdowns, asset registers, equipment history and critical spare parts.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability and operating efficiency.
• Plan and oversee major maintenance projects, upgrades and facility improvements, including forecasting labour, materials and associated costs.
• Manage external contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
• Monitor maintenance expenditure, budgets and key performance indicators.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with workplace health and safety, environmental, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Operations and Site Management to ensure maintenance priorities support production requirements and business objectives.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and preventative rather than reactive maintenance.
• Provide leadership, coaching and technical guidance to maintenance personnel and other relevant stakeholders.
