Job summary

SOILCO Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Plant & Equipment Operator to join our Organics Processing Facility at Stotts Creek. You will contribute to safe operations, routine maintenance, and efficient processing of green/organic waste in a collaborative team.

Preferred candidates have experience in manufacturing or waste/recycling, a valid Driver’s licence, and a commitment to safety. The role offers a permanent position with a typical 38-hour week and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, safety-conscious plant operator with a positive attitude and reliability.
• Experience in manufacturing, waste or recycling sector is advantageous.
• Able to work harmoniously with a diverse team and follow Safe Systems of Work.

Responsibilities

• Support general yard maintenance and compost production.
• Perform basic safety checks on machinery and equipment prior to operation.
• Operate Loader/Excavator/Screen/Water carts and other plant equipment.
• Maintain clean work areas and adhere to environmental guidelines.
• Report faults, hazards and incidents promptly.
• Communicate on site using UHF radios and hand signals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and Safe Systems of Work.
