Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced finance professional for a role combining technical accounting, commercial insight and operational engagement in Victoria. You will lead month-end reporting, forecasting and analysis, and partner with site leadership to drive performance on stock and financial outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong management accounting skills, and the ability to build cross-functional relationships while delivering practical financial

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, FMCG or similar operational setting.
• Strong management accounting capabilities.
• Proficient in balance sheet reconciliations and period-end reporting.
• Ability to build relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands-on, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end reporting and financial results.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets and analyses.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and GL management.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to drive performance.
• Provide financial insights and decision support to site leadership.
• Assist with stocktakes and inventory reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and business projects.
• Mentor and support junior finance team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of month-end reporting and financial results
• Preparation of forecasts, budgets and analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger management
• Partnering with operational stakeholders to drive performance
• Providing financial insights and decision support to site leadership
• Assisting with stocktakes and inventory-related reporting

You will ideally possess:

• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, FMCG or a similar operational environment
• Strong management accounting experience
• Well-developed balance sheet reconciliation and reporting skills
• The ability to build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• A proactive and hands-on approach
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
