Job summary

Sharp & Carter represents a leading Australian manufacturing business seeking an experienced Management Accountant to lead month-end reporting and forecasting processes in Melbourne. You will partner with site leaders, drive performance improvements, and support stock reporting while mentoring junior team members.

This role combines technical accounting with commercial insight and strong cross-functional engagement in a stable, well-established environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, FMCG or similar environments.
• Strong management accounting experience.
• Well-developed balance sheet reconciliation and reporting skills.
• Ability to build relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive and hands-on approach.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end reporting and financial results.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of month-end reporting and financial results


• Preparation of forecasts, budgets and analysis


• Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger management


• Partnering with operational stakeholders to drive performance


• Providing financial insights and decision support to site leadership


• Assisting with stocktakes and inventory-related reporting


• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and business projects


• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the finance team

You will ideally possess:

• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, FMCG or a similar operational environment


• Strong management accounting experience


• Well-developed balance sheet reconciliation and reporting skills

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
