Job summary

Daniel's Donuts is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to become the financial heartbeat of our Western Suburbs manufacturing operations in Melbourne. You will partner with production and procurement to drive cost control, pricing decisions and capital project evaluations, including DCFs and NPVs.

We're looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to become the financial heartbeat within the manufacturing business.

What you'll be baking

You'll be the finance lead, partnering with the Manufacturing team. This is an embedded finance role that will work heavily with the operations team onsite with light admin support in manufacturing and governance assistance provided by the broader finance team. You'll be rolling up your sleeves to:

Standard/product costing accuracy, BOM and ERP discipline, inventory control, payroll reconciliation, and month-end close.

Turn manufacturing data into commercial insights that help us make smarter decisions.

Know exactly what every SKU costs to make through world‑class product and standard costing.

Keep inventory accurate, valued correctly and under control.

Evaluate exciting capital projects—from new equipment to factory improvements—using DCFs, NPVs and payback analysis.

Support pricing, new product development and customer profitability with commercial modelling.

Lead the finance side of our Odoo ERP journey, making sure our systems are as efficient as our production lines.

Partner with operations, procurement, production, quality and warehouse teams to drive continuous improvement. You will be working side-by-side with production supervisors, team leaders and process workers day to day.

Who you are

You're more than an accountant.

We are looking for a safe pair of hands, an experienced Finance expert who will bring stability, trust and immediate impact—this is a role for someone who already knows manufacturing and wants to put that experience straight to work.

You're someone who enjoys walking the factory floor as much as working in Excel.

You'll bring

• CA or CPA qualification desired - most important is extensive hands‑on experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production finance
• Strong management reporting and financial control experience
• Product costing, standard costing and inventory expertise
• Commercial modelling and business partnering skills
• Experience with ERP systems (bonus points if you've worked with Odoo)
• Confidence communicating with everyone from production supervisors to executives

You will also have experience in board reporting, commercial insights, capital project evaluation (DCFs/NPVs/payback) and commercial modelling.
