Job summary

Dulwich Bakery, a well-established Adelaide-based bakery, operates 11 retail stores with a central Beverley manufacturing facility and a wholesale arm. We are seeking a Production & Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for the manufacturing operation and shape its future with the Owner.

Job description

This is a senior management position reporting directly to the Owner. You will take overall responsibility for the manufacturing operation behind 11 retail bakery stores and a wholesale arm business. This role is about much more than managing today's production. You will take ownership of the entire manufacturing operation, lead your people, improve systems and help build a more efficient and scalable business. You will understand what actions need to be taken and managed to impact the bottom line. You will interact with store managers and wholesale customers, work directly with the Owner, and have significant responsibility for the performance and future development of the manufacturing business. This is a role for someone who wants to run an operation, not simply supervise a production shift.

We are an established, privately owned bakery business with 11 retail stores, a central manufacturing bakery in Beverley and a wholesale operation. With annual revenue of approximately $12 million and a manufacturing team of around 35 employees, we are looking for an experienced Production & Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for our manufacturing operation.
