Job summary

Maddocks in Sydney is seeking a Lawyer in Planning & Environment to join our Public Law team. You will handle litigious and advisory environmental, planning and regulatory matters for public and private clients, under the guidance of partners.

You will draft advice on Federal and State environmental regulation, planning and approval processes, contaminated land, and related contracts; perform due diligence and legal research; stay updated on regulatory developments; and contribute to a

Qualifications

1+ years PQE in planning and environment within private practice.
Excellent drafting and technical skills.
Strong communication and analytical abilities.
An enquiring mind with sound judgement and a can-do attitude.
Commitment to teamwork and achieving challenging objectives.
Strong academic qualifications.

Responsibilities

Draft advice on Federal and State environmental regulation, planning and approval processes.
Draft contracts and perform due diligence on environmental matters.
Conduct legal research to support advisory and transactional work; stay abreast of regulatory developments.
