Job summary

T&M Plumbing is a long-standing plumbing business based in Shepparton, offering planning and drafting coordination to support on-site trades across the region. The role focuses on turning plans into accurate, practical information for trades and procurement.

You will work closely with leadership and operations, applying technical planning, estimation and procurement skills to ensure projects run smoothly from plan to site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and documentation.
• Marking up plans ready for our plumbing teams on site.
• Completing quantity take-offs and material calculations.
• Preparing estimates and assisting with quotations.
• Sourcing and comparing supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Coordinating purchasing and procurement of plumbing materials and equipment.
• Managing purchase orders and supplier invoices.
• Liaising with internal teams to clarify scope, plans and job requirements.
• Maintaining accurate costing, estimating and project records.
• Identifying discrepancies or potential issues before work reaches site.

T&M Plumbing is a successful, long-standing leading plumbing business with more than 45 years in the industry. From our Shepparton base, our team delivers plumbing projects across Shepparton, Echuca, Wodonga and surrounding regions, with a strong focus on new residential construction.

We’re looking for an organised and detail-focused Planning / Drafting Coordinator to join our Shepparton Head Office.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with construction plans, solving problems and getting the details right before a job reaches site.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with our leadership, operations and plumbing teams, you'll help turn construction plans into accurate, practical information our trades can work from.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and documentation

• Marking up plans ready for our plumbing teams on site

• Completing quantity take-offs and material calculations

• Preparing estimates and assisting with quotations

What we're looking for

You don't necessarily need to come from plumbing. We're interested in someone who is technically minded, organised and confident working with plans and numbers.

You'll ideally bring:

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

• Confidence using Microsoft Excel, Office and Adobe Acrobat

• Ability to manage multiple jobs and competing priorities

• Strong communication skills when dealing with trades, suppliers and internal teams

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work

Experience within plumbing, drafting, estimating, construction, building or a similar environment would be highly regarded, but isn't essential for the right person.
