Job summary

UGL Pty Limited seeks a Pit & Pathway Scoper to ensure pit and pipe infrastructure complies with NBN Co. standards, while meeting safety and regulatory requirements across Melbourne's western suburbs.

In this field role you will inspect, report, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project teams, delivering quality outcomes on time in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications or civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings, plans and scopes of work.
• High attention to detail with proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Current driver's license and experience with digital inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect NBN pit and pipe infrastructure for compliance.
• Identify defects, non-conformances and safety risks; coordinate actions.
• Prepare inspection reports and remediation updates using digital systems like Apian.
• Collaborate with contractors and project teams to resolve issues.
• Support QA activities to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

As a Pit & Pathway Scoper, you'll play a critical role ensuring pit and pipe infrastructure is installed in accordance with NBN Co. standards while meeting safety, quality and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with construction crews, contractors, Field Supervisors and project teams to ensure works are delivered on time and to specification for new developments across Melbourne's western suburbs. This position suits someone with strong inspection experience in telecommunications infrastructure who enjoys working autonomously in the field, while remaining supported by a collaborative project team.

What You'll Do

• Inspect NBN pit and pipe infrastructure to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Identify defects, non-conformances and safety risks, coordinating corrective actions where required.
• Complete inspection reports, photos, approvals and remediation updates using digital systems including Apian.
• Work closely with contractors, Field Supervisors and project teams to resolve quality and compliance issues.
• Support quality assurance activities to ensure safe, compliant and on-time project delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Experience within telecommunications, civil construction, utilities or related infrastructure industries.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and NBN standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans and scopes of work.
• High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Current Driver's Licence and experience using digital inspection tools.
