Job summary

UGL is seeking an experienced Electrician for our Roseville, NSW location. You will install, maintain, test, and certify electrical assets across the Sydney Metro network, and perform routine inspections, fault diagnosis, and repairs.

You will interpret complex drawings, read wiring diagrams, and ensure compliance with standards. The role involves high-voltage work, BMS systems, and collaboration with a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in electrical trade.
• Current NSW Electrical Licence is required.
• Relevant Construction Card (White Card) is required.
• Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card can be provided.
• Valid Driver's Licence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to use testing equipment, diagnostic tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Capable of obtaining Working at Heights and Confined Space qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical assets and systems per standards and regulations.
• Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and replace/repair as required.
• Interpret circuit drawings and complete electrical wiring and installations.
• Respond to service calls and asset faults to restore operations.
• Monitor system parameters using control systems and sensors; adjust settings as needed.
• Maintain maintenance/inspection records using CMMS and other tools.
• Operate hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Undertake electrical work including domestic, commercial, industrial and high-voltage installations.
• Work on assets such as HVAC, Tunnel Ventilation and BMS systems when required.

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team based in Roseville NSW.

Your role as Electrician

• Install, maintain, test, commission and certify electrical assets across various locations on the Sydney Metro network.


• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical assets and systems in accordance with relevant standards, legislation and regulations.


• Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and diagnostic tools and perform repairs and replacements as required.


• Interpret circuit drawings and complete electrical wiring and installations.


• Respond to service calls, equipment breakdowns and asset faults to restore normal operations.


• Monitor system parameters using control systems and sensors and adjust settings as required.


• Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records using CMMS and other documentation tools.


• Operate hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.


• Undertake electrical work including domestic, commercial, industrial and high-voltage installations.


• Work on electrical and related assets such as HVAC, Tunnel Ventilation and BMS systems when required.

Requirements And Qualifications

• Trade Qualified Electrician
