Job summary

Wood is seeking a Piping Integrity Engineer based in Longford, Australia, with a strong background in oil & gas integrity, RBI and corrosion engineering. The role requires delivering a robust piping inspection program, developing inspection plans, and guiding repairs under seasoned engineers.

You will work within a hybrid model supporting major client needs and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of relevant experience, a degree in mechanical/chemical/materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical/chemical/materials engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, LNG, or related industries in inspection/integrity engineering.
• Knowledge of materials and corrosion engineering and non-destructive evaluation techniques.
• Experience in risk-based inspection (RBI) and remaining life assessment.

Responsibilities

• Act as focal point for piping inspection programs per FIMS02 and related manuals.
• Execute corrosion and integrity programs under guidance of senior engineers.
• Review piping inspection program effectiveness and develop inspection plans.
• Recommend repairs or maintenance for piping and pressure equipment.
• Perform root cause analyses for failures and advise on mitigations.
• Maintain and analyse piping information and inspection records.
• Stay current with industry standards and adopt best practices.
• Leverage data analytics and digital tools to improve processes.

This position will be for a permanent role supporting one of our major clients.

Responsibilities

Scope of Work

• Focal point for specific piping inspection program per FIMS02- Pressure Equipment Integrity Program Manual - i.e. CUI & CUPS, AGI, LPIP, UPIP under guidance of Lead Engineer /Senior Engineer
• Execution of FIMS01 – Corrosion Integrity Program Manual under guidance of Lead Engineer / Senior Engineer.
• Familiar with company Global Procedure and maintenance practices during execution.
• Technical oversight including - Review, evaluate piping inspection program / program effectiveness, and issue scope of work (Inspection Plan development / optimization)
• Recommending follow up repair / maintenance to piping / pressured equipment, including execution of MOC / Impact action item
• Troubleshooting, root cause analysis for any bad actor, failure.
• Maintaining, analysing piping information and inspection records
• Ability to learn and adapt to an agile and flexible working environment, continuously stay abreast of latest developments in industry standards/ practices, bring in learnings/ experience to challenge and improve company work processes/ practices
• Data analytics, digital tools/ technologies and operationalize upgraded work practices through digital transformation

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, LNG or related industries in the domain of inspection / integrity engineering

• Experience in remaining life assessment including damage mechanism, consequence evaluation, risk identification & mitigation
• Demonstrate & promote a sense of ownership and drive continuous improvement through performance KPI
