Job summary

Verbrec is seeking a Pipeline Technician to join our crew on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will safely execute field services for Verbrec’s pipelines and external clients, including O&M, electrical works and cathodic protection, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have an Electrical Work License, Cert III in Electro Technology, and gas-industry experience in electrical, instrumentation, PLC, Water Bath

Qualifications

• Electrical Work License (Electrical Fitter / Electrical Mechanic)
• Equivalent trade certificate – Cert III in Electro Technology
• Experience in gas industry: electrical, instrumentation, PLC, Water Bath Heaters, EEHA

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently execute field services for Verbrec’s pipelines and clients.
• Maintain safety, quality, schedule and cost targets in line with regulations.
• Operate across pipeline O&M, electrical works, cathodic protection and related tasks.

We are currently seeking an energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic Pipeline Technician on a full-time permanent basis to join our Team. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the purpose of the role is to safely and efficiently execute field services works for Verbrec’s operated pipelines and external clients alike. These services include: Pipeline Operation & Maintenance, Electrical works (LV), Cathodic Protection, PLC Fault finding, Non Fiscal equipment calibrations, Right of way Surveys, Water Bath Heater maintenance, vessel inspections, Regulator Maintenance:

• To the highest level of safety, environment, community & stakeholder requirements.
• To meet agreed quality, operability, schedule, and cost targets; and
• In strict accordance with the relevant statutory & regulatory guidelines.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally have (Electrical Technician)

• Electrical Work License (Electrical Fitter / Electrical Mechanic)
• An equivalent trade certificate – Cert III in Electro Technology
• Experience within the gas industry will be highly regarded specifically in the areas of Electrical, instrumentation, PLC, Water Bath Heaters, and EEHA.

As well as

• Experience within the gas industry be highly regarded specifically in the areas of pipeline inspection and maintenance.
• A safety-first approach.
• Experience working in remote areas.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• A high level of mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop on a diverse range of skills.
• Good communications skills, both written and oral.
• Sound computer skills.
• Experience with communicating with landowners and occupiers.
