Job summary

Verbrec in Adelaide is seeking a Construction Manager to lead a high-performance team on SA projects, delivering value with safety, schedule and budget discipline. This permanent, full-time leadership role sits in our new office and reports to the General Manager, collaborating across defence, water, oil & gas, utilities, mining and renewables.

You will manage electrical construction and maintenance teams, develop strong client relationships and influence EPC tenders.

Qualifications

• Previous Construction Manager experience in a similar position.
• Previous supervisory experience within the resource industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing workforce and subcontractors, typically within an electrical construction environment.
• Understanding of Enterprise Agreements.
• Understanding of Project Management principles including Contract management.
• Demonstrated budget management experience.
• A Class SA electrical licence is preferred but not essential.
• Hold, or be eligible to obtain a DCAC clearance.
• White Card.
• Management of eCOC regulatory requirements.
• Solution-focused, practical, functional problem solver.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability of work.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage and build client relationships.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence – required for regular travel to regional projects.
• Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

About the role

With EPC, Construction and Maintenance projects and clients growing, we are looking for a customer and delivery focused Construction Manager who is proactive in delivering on our client’s expectations. You will work closely with all internal and external stakeholders and work to maintain the dynamic team culture at Verbrec. You will be exposed to clients across defence, water, oil & gas, utilities, mining, renewables, and other local industry projects.

This role, reporting to the General Manager, forms part of the local leadership team responsible for developing the business strategy, culture and performance across the South Business Unit.

As a Construction Manager you will be responsible for:
