Job summary

JBS Pork Australia – Farming Team in Corowa is seeking Piggery Attendants to support livestock care and welfare, daily husbandry and basic maintenance across our Corowa site. This full-time role involves feeding, watering, moving stock, and maintaining records in a hands-on farming environment.

We value candidates with a genuine interest in animal welfare, ability to work weekends/public holidays, and good WHS/QA awareness.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with animals is preferred.
• Sound work ethic and self-motivation are essential.
• Understanding of WHS and QA policies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, feed and water for stock.
• Care for sick or injured stock and monitor welfare.
• Apply animal identification systems as required.
• Move, draft and weigh stock as directed.
• Administer routine treatments and medications.
• Transport stock, feed and equipment between areas.
• Operate farm vehicles, machinery and equipment safely.
• Maintain machinery, sheds, fences and surrounds.
• Update production records and interpret data.
• Clean accommodation pens, fixtures and equipment.
• Follow company policies and work instructions at all times.
• Perform other duties as directed.

JBS Pork Australia has approximately 1400 employees spread across our two processing facilities as well as multiple farms and feed mills across Victoria and New South Wales.

About the Role

JBS Pork Australia – Farming Team is currently recruiting multiple Piggery Attendants to support the team at our Corowa Site.

This full-time position will be responsible for undertaking animal husbandry and related tasks to assist in the care and well-being of Company livestock, along with basic maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care, feed, and water for stock.
• Care for sick or injured stock.
• Apply animal identification systems.
• Move, draft and weigh stock.
• Administer routine treatments.
• Transport stock, feed, and equipment.
• Operate farm vehicles, plant, machinery, and equipment.
• Maintain machinery, equipment, sheds, fixtures, fittings, fences, and surrounds.
• Update manual and electronic production records and interpret data.
• Clean accommodation pens, fixtures, fittings, equipment, amenities, and other buildings.
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions at all times.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience working with animals (preferred but not essential)

Sound work ethic with high self-motivation

Working knowledge of WHS and QA
