Job summary

Youfoodz is hiring Process Workers for day shifts at our Karawatha facility. You will be involved in picking, packing, and packaging finished meals, using scanners and packing equipment to meet daily production targets.

This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a busy, temperature-controlled environment. Ongoing casual employment with the potential to move to permanent, with weekly pay and benefits including free meals during shifts and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow Food Safety, HACCP and WHS procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasks.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick stock items against orders and place into crates or boxes to meet timelines.
• Use handheld scanners to verify product selection and maintain inventory records.
• Fold, label and assemble boxes for packaging.
• Operate tape machines and packaging equipment to seal cartons.
• Pack finished meals into boxes per product specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in line with food safety rules.
• Work in a temperature-controlled environment and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.

About the Role

We have multiple opportunities available for Process Workers across our Day shifts at our Karawatha facility.

Available shift times include:

• Early Morning: Must be available between 5:00am – 3:00pm

These shifts operate across all days of the week. To be considered, you must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week, with shifts generally being 8 hours or longer.

We offer fixed rosters rather than rotating schedules. For example, if you are hired for morning shifts, your roster will remain on morning shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick stock items against customer or internal orders, placing items into crates or boxes at the required pace to meet production and dispatch timelines.




• Use handheld scanners to verify product selection and maintain accurate inventory records.




• Fold and assemble boxes as required, ensuring they are correctly labelled and suitable for packaging.




• Operate tape machines and other packaging equipment to securely seal cartons and prepare meals for transport.




• Pack finished meals into boxes according to product specifications, ensuring correct quantities and presentation.




• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in accordance with food safety and workplace health and safety.




• Work in a temperature-controlled environment for the duration of the shift, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks at a consistent and efficient pace.




• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues promptly.

About You

You will have:

• Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.




• The ability to learn and follow Food Safety, HACCP, and WHS procedures.




• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.




• The physical capability to lift and move objects up to 20kg where required.




• Availability to work weekdays and weekends.




• The ability to follow instructions efficiently and work independently when required.




• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.




• A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team.




• High levels of reliability, resilience, professionalism, and work ethic.
