Job summary

Youfoodz in Brisbane is seeking a Hygiene & Waste Team Manager to lead and develop the team to deliver the manufacturing plan. You will drive performance to meet production schedules while ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards, and empower others to bring their best every day.

Based in Karawatha, this permanent full-time role reports to the Production Manager for Low Risk/High Risk areas, with opportunities to drive continuous improvement, manage site waste and cleanliness, and advance

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years' experience leading frontline leaders or large operational teams.
• Strong understanding of WH&S, HACCP, and food manufacturing compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated success improving operational performance in efficiency, waste, and labor utilization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Youfoodz manufacturing plan ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, plan attainment, and cost standards.
• Provide leadership and direction for the team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Oversee daily washroom operations, bin room operations, and site waste removal.
• Manage ordering of chemicals, PPE, consumables, and maintain titration rate documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve line efficiencies and minimize process waste.
• Ensure team compliance with site food safety, hygiene protocols, GMP, and WH&S policies.

This role is based in Karawatha, Brisbane and reporting to Low Risk/High Risk Production Manager.

You will…
