Job summary

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is seeking an Allied Health Assistant Grade 3 to join the Physiotherapy team in Melbourne. You will work closely with physiotherapists, providing hands-on support to patients across acute Cardiorespiratory and General Medicine units, helping improve mobility, function and independence during hospital stays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver delegated therapy programs under the direction of a physiotherapist, including exercise, mobility, gait aid provision and ADL retraining.
• Support and supervise patients undertaking individual and group exercise and therapy programs.
• Monitor patient participation and progress and accurately report relevant information to the supervising physiotherapist.
• Assist with equipment and resources required for patient care and therapy.
• Communicate effectively with physiotherapists and the broader multidisciplinary team to support coordinated patient care.
• Undertake administrative and operational duties that support the efficient day-to-day functioning of the Physiotherapy Department.
