Job summary

Hurstville Private Hospital, part of Healthe Care Group, is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Allied Health Team and contribute to delivering outstanding patient care. You will work across inpatient units, providing evidence-based treatment for post-surgery or medical admissions and collaborating with Orthopaedics for outpatient services.

You will be part of a busy multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for professional development and a strong emphasis on work-life balance

Qualifications

• Current APHRA registration is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital clinical setting.
• Experience in Critical Care, Orthopaedics and Acute Medical wards preferred.
• Demonstrated collaborative and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient centred care.
• Well-developed time management skills with initiative.
• Knowledge of continuous quality improvement processes.
• Commitment to Professional Development and structured learning for staff.
• Immunisation evidence as part of credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients post-surgery or medical admissions.
• Work within inpatient teams across medical, surgical, cardiac and ICU areas.
• Collaborate with Orthopaedic doctors for outpatient fracture management when required.
• Contribute to positive patient outcomes within a busy hospital setting.

Your new role as a Physiotherapist

Being an experienced Physiotherapist joining our family friendly and supportive Allied Health Team, you will be required to provide evidence-based treatment and management for patient’s post-surgery or for a medical admission. You will work within our inpatient team across the medical, surgical, cardiac and ICU areas. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our Orthopaedic doctors treating patients with fractures in an outpatient setting.

Essential Criteria

• Current Registration with APHRA
• Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital clinical setting.
• Previous experience within Critical Care, Orthopaedic and Acute Medical wards.
• Demonstrated collaborative and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient centred care
• Well-developed time management skills with a high degree of initiative
• Demonstrated a knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement
